What is It?
This year the theme of Family Camp is "Prepare the Way" and the focus will be on "Isaiah 40:3-5." We, as families, often find ourselves entangled in the affairs of everyday life. God, however, wants to expand our vision, bringing clarity to the fact that He has a higher purpose for us then just living for ourselves. As we seek and embrace God and His purposes, we will begin to experience the fulfillment of Jesus' promise to us.
"I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly."
John 10:10
Family Camp 2004 will start Friday, June 25th, with setup from 4:00pm to 5:30pm. The weekend concludes after worship on Sunday, the 27th, around noon.
This weekend will consist of teaching, praise, worship, good fellowship, and plenty of fresh air for the whole family.
We will have lots of free time available to just relax and enjoy one another's company. There will be some organized activities throughout Saturday, but they are all optional so that you may choose to sleep, talk, fish, swim, play softball, volleyball, horse shoes or whatever else you would rather do.
What do We Need to Bring?
This is a camp out weekend, so a tent, camper, pick-up with cap, or other camping type shelter will be needed. Also, any bedding you may need. If you don't have tent, let us know, we may know where to get one for you to use.
The church pavilion is equipped with restrooms (both ladies and men) and hot showers. You will need typical personal items such as towels, soap, etc. Also, a flashlight is a nice thing to bring.
What is Provided?
All meals are provided at a reasonable cost. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided by our expert and courteous staff. Guess who that is? All of us! We all take our turns helping prepare and clean up after each meal. Each family will be assigned a work detail during the weekend. A schedule of family assignments will be posted at camp. All utensils and table settings are provided. We will also be having s'mores around the camp fire Friday night and a special treat Saturday night.
How Much Will it Cost?
We are asking for donations for meal expenses to cover the costs. If you will be joining us for all meals, the total cost will be $15.00 for adults, $10.00 for youth ages 12-17, $5.00 for children ages 4-11, and children under 4 years old are free.
Where do I Sign Up?
Please click on the "Family Camp Brochure" link located below, print it out, fill it out, and then send it in! It needs to be completed and sent to us by June 20th, so we can have time to purchase the needed food and supplies.
Note: Even if you can't come to camp for the weekend, come and share in the activities. Let us know if you plan to share any meals with us.
